About
Vincent Reed is a Nashville-based composer with over a decade of musical study and five years of dedicated work crafting orchestral and orchestral-hybrid scores for film, television, and video games. Rooted in the classical tradition, Vincent brings an equally passionate voice to jazz and big-band writing — a versatility that keeps his creative palette rich and expansive.
As a trumpeter by training, Vincent's brass foundations are deeply embedded in his compositional voice. His music is built to be big, powerful, and moving — always reaching for that ineffable quality of feeling genuinely alive. Drawing from the great composers of orchestral and cinematic music, Vincent channels a wide range of influences into a sound that is distinctly his own.
His work has earned recognition on both national and international stages. In 2024, Vincent was awarded the Middle Tennessee Sinfonietta prize for his orchestral piece Flight of Kitetails and took top honors at the International Trumpet Guild's New Works Competition. His voice in the film world has also made its mark — scoring four Lipscomb University 5 Minute Film Festival nominations, including the animated short Lubos, which won Best Animated Picture.
